Been sitting with my LGS since Monday. I rang them today and nope not seen it yet, chased up PackSend/TNT and back to my LGS and duddaaah !
Then they ring registry to check something....Unregistered?
I almost had a wee turtle head pop out and thought OFFS no wonder price was better than ok and postage included. ...
Phewwwwww, confirmed it's just never been registered to a private owner in Australia, been sitting on the owner/dealer's inventory since import !
back to smiling and ripping the scope and bridge mount off to check model etc.
I like it more now than first impressions of a bargain shooter. It isn't as blonde as the first photos, more like 80's tips or streaks, could be due to different man cave mood lighting.
The surface finish, bolt, bottom metals and barrel are not showing 34 years use. The "20 years stored" is plausible. Bore scoped it and a closer inspection of all bearing surfaces

- Jap Tasco 4x40 Check out the WIDE angle view. A bit strange but should get used to it with use. Very clear and looked after.
