One time we needed one and didn't have one. Some guys came to my house with a metric sh**ton of various AKs, ARs, Saiga Shotgun, and other rifles with no cases. Trunk of the sedan was full and I made them at least let me swap some weapons out of the trunk to put my machineguns in there ($$$).
We headed out with a pile of firewood and about 10 large laundry detergent bottles taking up half the back seat with a couple rifles sitting on top. In the passenger side of the backseat was a guy with a number of ARs etc. standing straight up between his legs.
It was actually the firewood and the laundry detergent bottles that concerned me. I knew if we were pulled over there was going to be a few minutes answering questions because this looked completely ridiculous. And since we were all wearing sidearms, and backup guns, and one belt buckle gun, and probably a gun or two I don't know about, it would have been a nightmare if the cop wanted to disarm us with all this nonsense going on
