Headspace what is the main purpose for your 6.5 creedmoor hunting or is it going to be a dedicated target rifle. I'm in the planning stages of a varmint build and I was sold on a .22-250 but I'm starting to question my decision and wondering if I'd be better served by one of the 6mm or 6.5mm target calibers.

Mallee, it's going to be a target rifle mate. But that won't stop it picking off some furry things from time to time. My main load will be using a 140gn Hornady Amax. Great ballistics and barrel life is expected to be around 4,000 rounds. I got tired of using my hunting rifles at the range, so though a long range paper puncher might be a good idea. The ballistics are very impressive. I have a nice little 222 I mainly use for foxes, dogs and the odd rabbit. If long range is what you want, the 224 calibre is easily pushed around by wind. The 6.5 is a lot more efficient if wind is a factor.

Chronos, I like that Savage. One of my buddys uses one for turkeys. Shotgun on the move, or .223 at a distance.

Nice savage Stevie, didnt know they did the 24 in colour case hardened finish....nice...but I always believed a combo in sg thats not 12g is..... insufficient....

Oh and the Tec30, have you told the guys over there yet??, no doubt the congratulatory messages will make it all worthwhile.....

oh, and you'll have to update the sigline

Same pellets and velocity, just a few less of them. I don't have a 20 but in this configuration I would be happy with one. Different opinions I guess.

Yeah, but a huge difeerence between a 3" 20g and a the most common 12g shells people use. Cost is the main difference and it's not like it'll be used to bust clays

Been after one of these since I saw the Ad on a HPGS flyer last year and they finally are in stock at NIOA. Lyman video bore scope in 20cal so it'll cover almost everything I own. Only gave it a quick run this evening and took a few pics of the bore on my 300 Wby Mag which hasn't done a lot of work. The probe is 20" long and has a measure on it and an indicator of where the camera is pointing which makes locating the same spot very easy. The monitor is colour and is clear enough for my use and can toggle the 3 different brightness levels on the probe. My only criticism so far would be that it's not battery powered and needs to be powered via either a 5v plugpack (Included) or from a USB port and it's still pics only, video would have been nice.
Comes with lens cleaning solution and cotton tips, protective cover for the tip of the probe, cables, plug pack, 128Mb SD Card and card reader.
