I must admit I've enjoyed your blog so far, interesting seeing things from another's perspective.

If I may make a suggestion, though? I'd suggest you've missed the most important part of firearms ownership so far... safety. Perhaps a short article on safety 101? I've always considered it the first thing that should be addressed for new shooters

That shotgun is badass looking. But stop taking it to the clay range with the 20" barrels because you look like you are retarded or a mall ninja :)

Those HMRs are lethal. You can put a hole in a golf ball at 100 yards whereas a .30-06 will just dent the ball and send it into orbit.

If I was your age in Australia I would be doing it just like you are. Good taste :)

I take 30" to the range... Buuuut, on occasion, 20" need a walk lol Nah, just wanted to use them and see how they feel, of no use right now, but maybe in the bush at some stage.

I have two shotguns, both 12Ga, my SKB has 30" barrels, and my FEG is a 20" Coach gun, the coachey is a great bit of fun, going bush with the 20" barrells on the Stoeger? you will love it!
Winchester Model 06 .22 Pump
Winchester Model 9422 .22WMR Lever, with scope
Marlin Model 1895 45-70 Government, Lever
3 shotguns, all 12 Ga, U/O, SKB, FEG (coach) and Fausti
maybe a Boito coach gun, just because I should have a SXS in the safe.

I touched on it, in guns and (my) kids post, but, definitely. Will do a brain dump in the next day or so.

Did you use slugs for clay with the short barrel?

Nice looking guns.

Oh god no. Short barrels came with the rifle and I thought, well, it's time to try slugs.

Clay, I use 30" with 7 1/2 shells (usually get a slab of them).

I actually think I may need to get the butt steamed and raised now too. I got lots of really good tips last time I was shooting, picking my technique apart. So I am going to try that with everything I learned and if that doesn't help, may need to take it to a gunsmith :/

Raised for my face, fitted in some way - need to take it to the gunsmith and see what they says, it's not very comfortable
