Ruger M77 All Weather in 30-06

Gday.

I'm looking to get an all weather rifle stalking rifle.

Stainless, synthetic and in 30-06.

The Ruger M77 All Weather looks good and is the right price.

Who's got one, and how do they go?

I don't like their synthetic stocks, but that's completely personal preference - don't have particular faults to list.

I don't have a 30-06, but I do have two hawkeyes... .308 win in blue/walnut and .243 in stainless/synthetic.

Both shoot cloverleaf at 100 with hand loads.

I'm sure the 30-06 will do the same for you with a little work.

I'm a Tikka man but love the 30-06. Firing it gets the blood pumping :D

I do have a stainless/synthetic combo though. Just for easy cleaning, not really fussed on stock type myself.

Ruger's get a bit of an undeserved bagging IMO.

For a mid range hunting rifle, their performance and price a both solid.

My 2c anyway.
What is this "too many rifles" you speak of?
