CZ550 - Need opinions

Post by David Brown » 09 Nov 2015, 3:48 pm

My wife has a CZ550 chambered in 30-06, with a Tasco 6-24x50AO scope.

It is a heavy beast and not like our Rugers and the Tika T3 which we use for hunting. She is thinking of selling this and buying another rifle. Apart from a bruise in the timber on the front left, its in reasonable condition. Nice trigger :D which usually puts a smile on you face.

Can you guys give me an idea of what you think it would sell for…….and yeah I know kwhornet reckons $100 for a quick sale to add to his 4867 other rifles :friends:

Cat is an optional extra….negotiate with my son!

Have a look through usedguns.com mate, there's usually a few CZ rifles there. I could see someone paying around $1,100 depending on the condition. I reckon the scope would be the first to be changed though. I recently paid $1500 for a near new 550 full wood in 9.3x62. It included a 1-4x24 Bushnell Trophy with an illuminated reticle, and a set of dies.

Fancy finding this thread from a totally unrelated Google search...yeah about CZ's and BRNO ZKK's :geek:

Headspace is on the money.

I hear Anschutz model 1780 in 30-06 come with
22" barrel, fine tolerance machine work, alloy receiver, beautifuly figured select timber stocks, are superbly balanced, seemingly light to shoulder and provide rapid target acquisition :allegedly:

Does that sound right Genesis :unknown:

If one was for sale it'd probably be seen on usedguns :silent:

Agree…..the scope is nothing to get excited about.

It will probably be kept and a 223 Tika or maybe a Lithgow will join it and its cousins in the safe…. :-)
