Zastava 458 Win Mag

Who's got one?

I'm looking at picking one up and taking it to Lott,

just need to know if the mag is standard ('06) length or Mag (H&H) length....

would anyone care to measure their mag internal dimension ??

:thumbsup:

I'm pretty sure it's a magnum length action. I've only played with the 375H&H in a Zastava and it has a full length magnum action. You can soon tell anyway by the price. The magnum action is more expensive. Be aware though that the Zastava is a light rifle so you can expect some good shoulder action.

I was actually tempted by a new one myself. Never know, still might get it, but I'd have to be able to justify it to wapol. That would be the hardpart. Though I could argue i want a rifle withiron sights for piggies.... Hmmm....

Theyre all the same length action, different bolt face, factory tells me;

Action for heavy magnums is of the same size like for M70 with different size of the bolt face, but magazine iz
different so that can adopt heavy mag cartridges.

But I dont know if the mag is the same.... ideally I can simply ream out the winmag chamber to lott, as I have all the gear for lott, and the winmag is just a bit lo-po for me...

I'm after one for the lefty option...

Went exactly nowhere... during the exercise the supply dried up...importer changed.. now the street price of the zasty is a lot closer to gold apparently.

Although I like the zasties...I'm not too fussed to go without, I've got another Lott, so I'll be right - the current importer can keep there stock as far as I'm concerned...

Good thread revival SG Bill :thumbsup:
