Schultz and Larsen M60 30/06

I own one of these quality rifles with a Nickel Marburg scope. The rifle is in excellent condition with only 80 rounds fired through it. As I'm putting this gun up fore sale I was wondering what the value would be. Can anyone help?

There was an M60 on usedguns for $1600 I think?

Don't know how it went for condition though. Scrolled over it while looking at other things TBH.

How long have you had yours for? Bought new or second hand already?

Thanks for that "inspector" The rifle was bought new in New Zealand in 1965 for $NZ 2,600 with scope. I was told then that this was the last of the M60 model which went on the market in 1957 and stopped in 1960. These rifles were very popular in NZ as was the Nickel/ Marburg scope for hunting Thar and Chamois .

No longer have the need for a 30/06 calibre rifle. Plus, when you get to my age (70) the 30/06 tends to kill at both ends of the gun!! In saying this, this rifle is the best 30/06 that I've ever shot out of in terms of minimising recoil & accuracy.

I think this is going to be one of those once where you need to find the right buyer.

I don't know that they have much of a following here? Wouldn't surprise me if many shooters hadn't heard of Schultz and Larsen.

I think for some this would just be another rifle. If could be a real gem for an interested buyer.

If you can hold out, I reckon you could get better than $1600 from the right person.

Good rifle aside, it's got some good collectability about it.

I will give you $1,000.00 for the M60 if you are interested.
