Post by AZZA'S HJ47 » 21 Feb 2016, 2:45 pm

So after the longest wait on Saturday i finally picked up my rifle and a few other goodies. I would have gone out to the range however scope rings weren't in stock so ill have to wait a week to see them. But im happy i finally have something in my safe :D

Was kinda cool that i got the call on my birthday to tell me it was there to be picked up. :D

Happy Birthday and many more to come, birthdays and guns.
I've been asked: "How many guns do you need to have?" My answer remains the same: "One more."

Happy Birthday to you and your Sako 85 Hunter. Many more to come. So you decided on the fluted barrel after all? 243 or 308?

Close there mate it's a Sako 85 varmint in .243 I'm itching to get out to the range and have a shoot however I'm waiting on Qld Gun exchange to get some bases and rings in for me have waited a week I'm a little cheesed off about that but what can I do I have paid for it and that is the last piece of the puzzle. Had a look at a gun shop at Jimboomba the other day the dude had like 3-4 different sets of the stainless Optilock rings and bases. But as I said already paid for hopefully see next weekend.

Did you order 'sight unseen" ?

That's a very handsome Model 85; a LOT BETTER than average.

I did order sight unseen was set on the sako for the last 6 months. I was told that the stocks as of late from sako have been lighter in colour however look better than most of the offerings from the previous year. Like i said im happy
