Hi,
Anyone know what twist rate the new 223 is?
Can't find any real info on them anywhere.

Cheers!

Nope. Emailed months ago when I was thinking of a new 223; response was, "as to twist rate, we need to keep some surprises for product launch".

Got an email reply from them:
223 - 1:9 twist
243 - 1:10
308 - 1:12

4 round mag for the 223 and 3 round mag for the 243/308

No surprise in a 9T barrel, its the currently most popular all round twist for 223Rem... they wouldnt have used the f88 twist of 1:7....

3 round 308 mag, even a 4 round 223, are not overly inspiring.....

Bring it on frenchies....

It's hard to see how it can be worth 2x a new HOWA mini-action Varmint barrel, has same twist, has 10 round magazine, small action vs an action that could fit a 3006. And the new HOWA (and old ones) are uber accurate.
Am I missing something?

Hahaha i didn't think of that!
Since this topic started I went out and bought a howa mini-action in 204 ruger, with Varmint barrel. Couldn't be happier, 0.6" for 5 shots at 100m with factory federal ammunition with 40gr ballistic tips. Pretty sure it can shoot a lot be with someone who's good at paper punching.
