Can I ask why your using this powder instead of a dedicated pistol powder?

I know that some people use different receipes (I'm using AS30 for .38sp and .357 mag) for reloading.

Jodie,
What's the weight of the projectile? While I don't load AR2205 in 38Spl I do use it for .357 Magnum as being a slower burning powder compared to AP70 is good on longer barrels or pistols with compensators. If you can provide the make, type and weight of the projectile maybe we can help get you started. Since this is also your first post then maybe a few lines about your shooting experience as we don't know if you have 10 mins experience or 10 years.

Regards
Brett

Depends on what gun. If its just for paper targets give trail boss a go, nice soft loads. For met sill I use 2205 and also use it in my pistol cal lever guns with jacketed projectiles. Lead projectiles shooting at paper try trail boss.
