Many years ago I considered buying an 1892 Winchester octagonal barrel in 32-20 and the guy loaned it to me for a week to play with. Sadly, accuracy was non-existent and the 32-20 cartridge is entirely impotent (essentially a subsonic.22LR with twice as much bullet). On early mornings I could watch the bullet strolling down range, in all directions except where I was aiming. Glad I didn't buy that one without trying it first.
For this topic, "my worst", I have a Remington 510 that groups around ten-inches at 50 yards. My father-in-law got it in 1940 for his 14th birthday and spent decades "fishing" with it. Dip the muzzle in the creek, wait until fishy comes near, pull the trigger. I reckon the barrel is just one long collection of consecutive bulges. If it didn't have family history attached I wouldn't bother keeping it
Others have mentioned the Bentley pump gun. My first shotgun was a brand new eight-shot Bentley pump. Put many thousands of shells through it protecting crops and never had any trouble with it. A minor regret was the short barrel (barrel and mag tube were equal lengths) but overall I couldn't fault it for reliability or capability.
