I own a Finnish M39 in 7.62x54R and that kicks like no bodies business! I have been thinking about getting one of these (M44/M38) for a while but will probably hold off because they are not chop over 300m.

Your place looks amazing though Chris! Would love my own shooting range!

I think mine should be good to about 500 yards if I can get a decent peep sight on the thing. I just wish I could get a side plate and put my Central No4 on it. Once I get the Mojo's it should be a lot better.

That range took me about 6 weekends and about 300 litres of diesel to build. You're right though, It is awesome having your own playground. I just wish it was legal for me to shoot cat H there. I might talk to the police and see if they'll have any issues with me running cat H safety courses there.

It would mean machining the action and that not something I'm willing to do.

I lovw m44 i have one put a pu scope on it from accumounts its accurate.you can use the normal sights as well.yes they have some power shoot it with bayonet out so much more accurate . I changed the bolt handle as well bloody good guns

Elek accumounts the company sent to me in australia was real quick delivery scope and mounts cheap on ebay mate
