Apha Project .357 magnum revolving carbine

Post by snag » 11 Aug 2016, 8:17 pm

I just had a brain explosion and bought one of these with the 12" barrel, 'cos it looks like a ton of fun and should make a great close range pig smasher.
Has anyone else got one of these? I have no experience with handgun calibres, so I got some 158gn soft nose rounds to start with, thinking they should work pretty well on hogs. What do you think?
The pen may be mightier than the sword, but personally I prefer the .30/30 Winchester.

Very similar to the Rossi Circuit Judge, I'd love one in 44Mag but unfortunately they're not legal in NSW :( 158gr is what I run in the pistols and it'll do the job well on piggies.

Rumor has it that the MTs-255 12 gauge revolving shotgun, packed with new ground breaking technology will be flooding the Australian market soon.
This gun is said to be a game changing rapid fire shotgun that is compatible with modern high powered, high capacity rounds, capable of maintaining sustained rapid fire for 7 minutes at a rate of 3000 rounds per hour.
It's believed that this high capacity, militarily style, tactical shotgun will make the adler A110 look like a plain old clumsy lever action shotgun.

They are legal in Queensland.

with the 22lr circuit judge you feel bits blow back on your arm. They have a little shield which blocks the bulk of it but would be safe to wear eye protection especially with the larger cals

Quick update on an old thread - they are legal in Qld and NT, no it doesn't have blast shields so you really gotta wear glasses, and 158gn soft nose rounds are excellent close range medicine on hogs (and on the wild dog trying to dig it's way into the chook run - never even yelped, just spun it a quick circle and expired). Happy with it.

I fell in lust with one of these a couple years ago only to find out I can't have one in NSW :(

Now that I know there's a 12ga version that I also can't have I'm feeling shattered....

How would Snag have one of it's not legal in Qld?
I know sometimes legislation is a minefield but if it was approved for purchase does that not make it legal?......I despair.
