TIKKA T3 TAC21

A while ago I was thinking the RPR. After hearing from a few people that it's just a cheap Ruger. Then I found Tikka T3 TAC21 while browsing a gun dealer website. Absolutely love it. What are you thought about this?

It's just a cheap sako :sarcasm: , for the money you'd hope it shoots, it should as tikka are generally pretty accurate.

A coastal qld gun shop is doing howas in a similar tactical stock for a decent price. Or a left field option is the haenel jaeger varmint sporter pro.

haenel jaeger 10

I've seen some good reviews of the ruger and people on YouTube shooting them out of the box out to 1000yrd in the 6.5 cal, it looks like alot of gun for the money.

These 'people' that call it 'just a cheap ruger', do they actually own one? Or the usual Internet experts that don't know their a-hole from their elbow. From all reports of people actually using them , the RPR is an excellent , value for money , firearm.

Tikkas are good, MDT make a good chassis, sounds like win-win.

Ah... The internet.

Ultimately, you have to be confident in your rifle, so if you feel more confident with a tikka than a ruger, that's all well and good.

The RPR is a nice looker that's for sure.
Personally I would have purchased one but I am in NSW and we do fail at logic here.

Yup. Everything I've read about them is pretty positive. Same action as the American, which I own and love. Only fault is top loading is pretty difficult, but not a big deal to me.

Is the top loading different the the Hawkeyes?

I've used half a dozen and always through the top loading was pretty quick and easy actually?

Changed my mind to Rem 700 AAC with AB Arms Mod X Gen 3 chassis now. A lighter chassis, better looking too.

1750 for the chassis, 3100 including the rifle. The catch is I don't get to keep the stock. Thinking to buy the rifle interstate, I reckon it's still cheaper after the freight, and I get to keep the stock. Will get the Votex 6-24 PST SFP to go with the rifle. This should be a very sweet setup.
