I would have thought that (bentaz look away now), pretty much anything outperforms a shotgun...

Also I had a falling block greener shotgun that I could cycle quickly but with a lever gun you can do it of the shoulder.Your .44 has a lot more grunt and with practice you will hopefully be suprised at how quick you can pick up a target

i wish Marlin would pull their finger out and start making the 1894c (in 357 Mag) again. I'd love to get my hands on one. Absolutely no hope visible though on the american forums and gun talk sites. sh*t state of affairs..

Ordered Skinner sight. Think it will be nice. I held back on ordering the same for my Browning BL22. There's just something inside me stopping me from tweaking that rifle.
