The CZ is a simple gun to break down, not that you really need to, just run a patch through the bore and wipe down the bolt and raceways. I actually just gave the action a squirt of aerosol degreaser and then gave a drop of oil on the action before I took it out to shoot.

Deb, my friend who owns the Golden Boy, tells me she just shoots a spay of aerosol gun cleaner into the action every few thousand rounds as well as pulling a boresnake down the barrel every once in awhile.

The trick to having a 22 is to not to go overboard on the cleaning. A patch and/or brush down the bore every now and then and a little, I said a LITTLE, oil on the moving parts when needed.
I've been asked: "How many guns do you need to have?" My answer remains the same: "One more."

Good tips, duly noted :) and yes I'll make sure to not over saturate with lube/oil, question is how to know the right amount?

When I lube the bolt on my CZ455, I use a drop about the size of a grain of wheat.

I've got the same scope. They're pretty damn good for the price! Good choice.

Thanks oldmateadz. How is your experience with the BDC reticle? have you used the Nikon shot app designed for our particular scope that calculates poa's at different distances while also factoring in the specific 22LR ammo you use.

Update:

Apologies for the gratuitous giddiness but I just received some of my rifle accessories today;

That's shiploads better than a golden boy. Nice score. If you don't like the big loop lever I will swap you my standard one :)
