G'day,
Just looking for a rough guide here, I've fired 12 gauge a couple of times but never a .410 bore shotty.
Recoil will be less obviously, roughly how much?
Half? Less?

a lightweight 410 with full loads,.....will often recoil (kick) more than a full size 12g.
kind of depends on the individual shotgun, and ammo used.
it's a energy vs weight sort of thing.
the last 410 i used kicked harder than my 12g trap gun for sure.

Roughly speaking a .410 with half the shot weight of a given 12ga would have half the recoil based on the whole " equal and opposite reaction" pricipal.
.410 is a kids gun, not much recoil to speak of!
