I have one & always have. Love all the vaiants too. Sadly just sold a black built 303-270 s**t that thing was good. O well.
The 303 , like the 7x57 is one of those rounds that on paper look unremarkable, but in the paddock its all boom flop, they kill out of all proportion to paper statistics. Possibly best aussie pig round

Mines a 1943, barrelled in 52.

Numbers matching across the board which is cool

In any particular type of rifle??

Say in a Martini? or a Ruger, or Mauser or P14, perhaps a Winchester or an Arisaka(well Japanese anyway)?

Maybe even an Enfield...

Yes, of course! Hard to be born anywhere in the Commonwealth, have an interest in rifles, and not have a 303 or 2. Cheers.

A N04 Mk1
I've been asked: "How many guns do you need to have?" My answer remains the same: "One more."

I have too much respect for the heritage of your mates to say, "That's a good one." So I won't :D

Hahaha, how true :D

About 42 out of 45 members of my family were killed in the war. Just a guess from talking to the surviving members, but probably something like 25 killed on the Russian Front, 10 slaughtered by Russians after the war, and 10 starved to death in American concentration camps.

Then again, that's not exactly your neighborhood, now is it? I remember there was a tiny bit of action around your neighborhood as well :D
