Still a pretty remote chance I reckon, especially here where rifles have traveled through a long chain of inspections before hitting our civilian market. I think the vast majority of soldiers never fired a shot in anger, and most that did never hit anybody, although that's probably higher for the Russians and Germans, and possibly the Japanese. And lots of rifles that were in heavy combat would've probably been scrapped due to battle damage and heavy wear from the environments they were used in.
Anything that still shoots half decently now probably never left rear echelon areas.
