Winchester Coyote 300 WSM feedback

Post by kurl » 29 Nov 2013, 5:31 pm

Hi guys,

I'd like some feedback on the Winchester Coyote.

Long story short is a mate has one in 300 WSM and doesn't enjoy shooting it. He's going to stick to his varmint cartridges.

I would be a dedicated hunting/camping gun for everything from varmints up to deer if I'm lucky enough to find one.

Offering it to me for about 30% off the cost of a new one so a good deal on price.

How do they go as a rifle though? And 300 WSM as a cartridge?

Thanks.

.300 Winchester Short Magnum will definitely make short work of any varmints.

Plenty of puff for deer too if that's your bag.

I've used the Coyote Light on half a dozen occasions, the synthetic stock one.

Feels good, shoots straight.

Hard to argue with 30% off for an as new one ;)

I think it would vaporizer any deer.

I shot a deer once in the neck with a 308 it totally decapitated it, so i hate to see what a magnuim would do.

Yep, plenty of power to spare with 300 WSM.
