This has surfaced in a few topics here with people asking about the Warwick WFM4 after the project faded from the picture a little.

Dug up a few pictures from one of their articles to share.

Seems the project continues, I guess they changed a few things so it wouldn't fall foul of the best firearms law everrr, the one that says "cant have scary black looking rifles "

It's like a slab of sheet metal now.

They've really had to go all out to get away from that AR-15 look (that all anti's think everything looks like).

Chamber it for a .300 AAC Blackout and that's a pretty handy scrub gun right there. That thing definitely has the bases covered on the cool factor 8-)
.22LR, .222 Remington, .12g. But it's not the same when they don't live in your safe :P

Still yet to see a price for the straight pull ones.

I read ages ago their semi and FA ones were $8750.

They said their A/B versions would be "a fraction" of that, but I dunno what that worked out to be yet?

Pretty sure that is the straight pull variant, it had to undergo a lot of modifications to make it even feasibly 'allowable'.

Somewhere between four or five thousand. A lot more expensive than the other guy who was making similar, and none of these were going to have spring assist.

EDIT: I am somewhat suspicious that neither of these rifles are ever going to see a production run, even when the buzz was circulating the guys behind the Warwick straight pull were getting awfully quiet about the project, updates and info just stopped coming. But considering it has been at least a year since we have heard anything I imagine it is likely that they got killed by red tape and politics.

I also suspect they won't get going.

Given the perfectly legal AK47's converted to pump action were stopped by customs just for "looking military" I reckon they'd make up something to stop straight pull AR-ish rifles.... even if made here.

IIRC some states were being more problematic than others, especially when it came to being able to convert to straight pull, hence why Warwick FA was aiming to make it without SA.

Oh well, looks like a Maral for me then.

Looking at one of these for the old man's 60th later this year. Can't wait to get behind it myself too :D

$2,700 too which is a lot easier to swallow than $5,000 if that's what the Warwick's turn out to be.

As if an AK-47 anything was ever going to be legal here.

Cheaper and much prettier. Plus you never know what issues they could end up with, pretty difficult to fix if the internals are inaccessible.

Don't quote me on the price though, one was definitely $2800, the other was at least a thousand more.
