Trigger reflex.

Something that I didn't suffer much from when I first started shooting bout 15 years ago was "trigger reflex" that is reacting to the "bang" .It was causing me pull some shots in spite of various tecniques to overcome it. So today I thought well if I can't use a suppressor then maybe I can lessen the noise with extra ear protection. So I bought some ear plugs which I used in addition to my earmuffs. Great result. The bang is now just a remote noise which has helped my accuracy quite remarkably. My flinch has about gone. (and yes I know tecnique is wrongly spelt........should be technique)

Go back to the 22lr and shoot about 1,000,000 rounds of that.

You quoted 22lr ammo as peaking at 140db - is that super or sub?

Those measurements were taken off the net from a government site. BUT I don't know how they were taken. However I have since found the results of my measurements. All measurements were taken using a calibrated Class 2 sound level meter in an open area beside the left ear of a right handed shooter. Measurements are “C” weighted and reliable.
