My new old 67 model 2 is marked BRNO zbrojovka meaning it was manufactured by BRNO in Zbrojovka, not in Brno (city), I don't know much else about the transition to CZ except that the factory moved to Zbrojovka around then.

Some pedantic comments.
Zbrojovka is the Czech word for Arms in general or in this instance firearm, it's not a place name.
Brno as well as being a place name was used as a brand name for various products, not just firearms.
CZ are the initials of Ceska Zbrojovka which translates as Czech Arms.
That is how we can get a Ceska Zbrojovka Brno branded rifle.
All make sense now?

Right I am starting to understand thanks for the info fellas. :drinks:
