Hey Conallin24 I think with a 20g Shotty and a 25-06 you have the fox situation well and truly covered.

:D

Yeah, sometimes I take both 223 and a SB 12g with a few #2s. Mostly use the 223 though.

This is my new one a Sako Varmint Stainless in .223 with a Zeiss 5-25 x 50. It shoots pretty good as the kids don't seem to miss anything. Only wish they'd let me have a shot but I'm just the spotlight bitch now. But I could think of worse this to be doing. Cheers

Depends on how far you are shooting but my 17hmr cz 455 works good on them never shot one past 150metres though deadly accurate round and the 20 gr hollow points do huge damage

17 HMR is a great round for foxes.I had a Ruger lever rifle in 17 HMR and if I was near the station house late at night I would use it for head shooting roos.

The red roos in the Gascoyne just stand there.About 60 metres was the average shot.I checked with the station workers the next day and they did not hear a thing.I did a lot of foxes in the dairy down south.every time i had put all the cups on I would scan around.I probably got one a fortnight for 4 years

It's a Boyds Prairie Hunter stock in the colour Pepper - I import them direct from Boyds in the US but I noticed they have upped their prices which puts them over their $99 US limit so they won't send them to Aus anymore but I also know there are a few diff places importing them now.
