Valuation for 1970's (?) browning over/under 12G

Hi,

My brother in law has a couple of old (1970's) Browning O/U shotguns that he is considering moving on. I took a couple of pics (I really need to go around there during the day with my camera to get some decent pics) but I'm wondering if anyone can give me some advice on where to start working out what they might be worth......

There is this one

And this one which is probably a lower grade

Very tasty.

I'd say the first one with the higher quality scroll work may go for $750 - $2000 ($2000 if you're lucky.)
Second one, in that condition, I'd pay no more than $500 for it (I'm a tightarse.)

Someone may correct me, but that's what I'd go for.

Wow, I thought this post had fallen off the edge of the world........

I've been trolling multiple sales sites and am still waiting for estimates from professional valuations. This is what I have learnt based off of ads and auction lists so far:

The shotgun with the blue receiver is a Belgium made 1966 A grade superposed. Estimated value ranges from $900 to $2,500.

The shotgun with the silver receiver is a. Belgium 1970 B2 grade superposed. Estimated value is $1,200 to $4,500.

Big range in prices. Always comes down to condition and what a buyer is will to pay and the seller is willing to let it go for. I'm really hoping the valuations can narrow down the price range a bit

Cheers

i could not give you idea of prices becouse i live in the states the blued one here would be worth about what you says it woth there i think you could go a little higher for the other here but like you said condition and local markets tend to drive value.
