Ohhhh, I just, well, you know. That's really nice looking, I can't even type now. I love it. Mr.Seacucumber, that's am awesome suggestion. I just searched for images... Do you have a link to details, etc?

*** update ***

Had a closer look, they are making semi-autos... There's something that looks like a pump action they are showing on Instgram, but that was in December 2017. No details at all about it and no images, graphics, etc. Just the barrel and the sliders. So I am guessing it's not going to be around for at least 12 months. Bah! Back to 7615 discussion.

From AHN forum Rarco engineering rarco.com.au has been posting about the wedgetail pump

Few specs so far:

Weight: approx 3.3 kg
Barrel: 18"
Magazine: PMAG LR, 10 round
Caliber: .308 WIN
Finish: Hard anodized/cerakote
RRP: TBA, approx. $2990.
Made in Australia with exception of furniture.

The rifles are in production and the plan is that they are to be released in Q1 2018 i.e by end of March at the latest.

Here's what I could find...

I like the look overall, I can see the funkiness in it, but to be perfectly honest, I like Remington a bit better. This is a little too 'space age' look for me. Dollars are not too appealing either. Longer barrel is interesting, 1:8? But for the dollars, I don't see value for money.

Why did you get rid of it?

I've still got it.

I really like my 7615 but it depends what you want to do with it

Got it for use on a property shooting pests and as a tacticool project, great fun and I havn't gotten sick of it.

Pros
- Fast follow up shots with the pump, just make sure you run it firmly, i've heard people have extraction issues if they baby it.
- Lots of aftermarket tacticool bits
- Accuracy is fine, i only have a red dot but it works well for 50-100M. Ozzie reviews got it sub MOA.
- Uses Magpul Pmags which are cheap to buy
- Lucky 13 rail allows use of a bipod/sling adapter and is free floating, unlike the Mesa or Warhammer (i think) rails which clamp on the the end of the barrel.

Cons
- Money sink. Basically everything including aftermarket parts is unreasonably expensive
- Ergos of shooting a pump off a bench is a bit more annoying, but i only do that to sight in.
- Short barrel is noisy even in 223
- For the price don't expect a quality fit and finish like that on Tikkas, etc.
- Cleaning is a bit of a pain

axio, thanks. This is encouraging.

I was thinking about cleaning... Can the barrel be removed, by unscrewing the bottom slider tube thing, sort of like on the Adler. Or do you have to punch pins out and remove trigger housing etc?

Yeah, the comments section is good there. Seems like the first product run is 308 and will be missing few parts. Damn good looking thing though, but seems like 223 in full (with everything attached) is not coming as soon as I'd like. And I'm not after a 30cal :/

Yep you can do either, this guy has a good teardown

Most of the time i'll just run the boresnake down and scrub inside without pulling stuff apart

FWIW
Speaking of cleaning my 7600 involves one hell of a performance. It's not for the faint-hearted :)

It'd be about the same as cleaning an Adler. From what I can tell. One takedown screw. Remove slider tube and barrel, done.

Obviously for a more in depth clean you'd punch some pins out but, that's like once a year thing if at all. And maybe scrub the chamber... Meh. Non issue.

Looks pretty easy to remove barrel which means you can buy a 300 blackout barrel and fit that to change calibre which might be legal for deer.

I like firearms with easy to change barrels for calibre changes, also makes it easy to change when they wear out.

Actually.... I have played with modern, pump action centrefire rifles... And it's not a stalking gun. Too clunky, not ergonomic at all to carry in one hand, etc. I loooove big and clunky, they are just not good deer guns in my opinion. A nice, lite, streamlined bolt action, with hunter barrel, imho, is a perfect deer stalking gun. Pump is not any of those things. In my opinion.

I've had the 223 7615 for 5 years. It's reliable, fast to fire, has typical battle sights although I have a Holosun red dot on mine. The only thing this rifle needs is a trigger job. The stock trigger is too heavy. It takes regular AR15 magazines and I've found the Israeli plastic CCA mags to be the most reliable in both this and the Warwick bolt action.
I don't hunt but frankly if you do this would be one hell of a successful feral killer. Quick to aim, fast pump cycling while staying on target. The pump works best with firm rapid cycling.
Don't know anything about a 300Blackout barrel for it.
If you are looking at supreme long distance (150+ metres) accuracy this is not your rifle.

Been thinking about replacing my 223 with a Remington 7615 pump action. Besides that it takes 300AAC barrel, I'm wondering if anyone has any feedback on it.
