$3,700.00!!!

1914 LITHGOW Patt.1907 Hooked Quillon & Orig Lithgow Scabbard. Mechanisim works perfect on SMLE. Comes with a Gallipoli Battlefield Provinence Letter. This bayonet has been in Turkey for over 100 years and is now back in Australia and is a very significant piece of Australian WW1 ANZAC history! Price includes tracked postage within Australia.

I've got a 1915 Lithgow bayonet + scabby, that was not even 200 dollars. That's also a gallipoli issue.

Probably a matter of who kidded them. They probably paid through the nose because of the "provenance"......

By the way I have the Martini Henry that shot Ned Kelly if anyone wants to give me $500,000 for it. :sarcasm: :allegedly:

You blokes don't collect bayonets? I do, and any Lithgow hook is $2000 to $2500 now, with one selling recently for US$1800 (AU$2292). having a letter of provenance for Gallipoli could add $500 easily, so 2 1/2 to 3K is not out of reason. $3700 is a bit over the top but in another couple of years I don't see why it would not pull that money. I have paid a hell of a lot more money than that for some of my bayonets, Cheers.

Was thinking the hooked ones were a bit more expensive than “$200”.

There aren't that many genuine hooky's around but if you have a 1914 Lithgow it would be worth every cent

Well in that case, I stand corrected. I'd still rather buy a few good milsurps for that money though.
