I have been tasked by my mate to help him with loads for his new How's 243 varmint. Nothing is ever easy. My favourite tikka recipe shoots very poorly in his setup. Best groups from factory and Handloaded sit around moa.
I know these can shoot much better. Wondering if there are any How's 243 owners out there who can share what works well for them. I know every firearm is different but just want to get an idea of what to try. Will mainly be shooting from the truck so varmint rounds are preferred.
A friend of mine got one and he said that it would only shoot 87gr projectiles. He didn't talk loads though.

I don't have a Howa but my Tikka is shooting sub moa with two different pills: 87gr Hornady SP with 33gr of AR2208. 65gr Hornady V-max with 37gr of AR2208.
It'll shoot the fleas off a dog's back at five hundred yards, Tannen, and it's pointed straight at your head!
That is interesting as I can get 3,100 fps shooting a 90 grain pill out of a 6mm BR using 31 grain of 2208. I would have thought the 243 would be good for over 3,400 fps.
