Your brass needs to be clean if you are going to anneal.

Same reasoning for my cleaning of brass. My pistol brass gets wet tumbled around the 3rd or 4th reload. That's usually around 500-600 cases at a time. My rifle brass may be every 2nd or 3rd, mainly as I don't shoot rifle as much.
If you plan on shooting black powder cartridge I'd recommend every firing as the salts residue left from firing will destroy brass.
