Small voids/imperfections in cast bullets

Hi everyone, beginner bullet caster here. I've just finished doing a batch of 9mm 124 TC with my new lee mold, and I noticed small imperfections in some of the bullets (see picture). Are this normal? Bad? Anything I should be worried about?

I would shoot some and see, but I doubt they'd be a problem.
Powdercoating or Alox?

Most little imperfections like that are due to the lead being too cold but it may be dirt went in the mold too.
When casting bullets don’t aim to make heaps of bullets. Aim to make beautiful bullets. Be consistent in your pouring speed, your cooling time, your mold temp., where you dip your ladle in the pot.
Be patient And smooth. Enjoy the process.

Yeh, could be too cold when cadt ad Noisy said. But could also be crap in the lead, hard to see. Did you flux and skim off the crap on the surface?

But would shoot. Lol.

Thanks everyone. I did flux it a few times, using sawdust. And I'm planning to try a few with alox and a few with hi-tek coating. We'll see how they go!

Been a while.
I make up ingots first. Use candle wax to flux. Stir and remove top scum. Pour into a ingot mould. This removes most of the crap.

Later I melt the ingots to cast. I flux again during casting as well.

Never used saw dust. You can use bees wax.

Always cast with lots of ventilation. Lead vapour ain't good for you.
