It was a tack driver but I still tried everything.

.223 is so inherently accurate that all the powders work and mad to use anything other than the bulk pack Sierra Super Roos.
They just shoot so well to anything in .223 range.

I did like the BM2 and 8208 best and found the low node around 24gr to be great for single ragged 5 shot bragging rights.
I ended up settling on 24.6gr of 8208 as it gave me flatter shooting and less drop at 2-300m.
I just seated the pills at 40 thou off as it seemed to make no accuracy difference.

.223 shooting roo loads is just so cheap and accurate it will satisfy me for ever or until the barrel is fully shot out.

Yep I use 25gn bm2 with the roo loads and really good! I just done another trial with REXEM 69g f bombs with 24gns and COL 2.43 in my rifle and WOW. Cloverleaf after first cold barrel shot was inch left. Love em now

Good to hear the REXEM pills are delivering for you..

Oldrooshooter,

I'd encourage you to let James(Rexem) know how you are finding them.

I'm a big fan of encouraging ANY local businesses that are producing decent gear; especially when it comes to reloading and firearms..

I just wish I had the time to tweak my loads to get the best from them myself.
[Ahhhh well; there's always next week...Sigh]

Yeh mate I have let him know straight away!!! If he keeps prices down he will sell a ****** of them I said!! I’ve already recommended to others I know!
For my .22-250 though still don’t compete with the sierra roo loads 55g. For accuracy and value in bulk, but I’m loving loading heavier for .223 with the 1:8 twist.
Both my rifles are HOWA and have been brilliant !

We lucked out a couple of months back; the local ammo supplier still had a 900-round can of the ADI 69gn cartridges(Siera Matchking BTHP 69gn), and so I've been a bit slack on reloading.
But I'll have to return to the reloading bench soon; We've both been spoiled by the extra punch the heavier pills bring to the .223(especially for pigs), and dont really want to return to the 55gn factory rounds remaining in the ammo fridge...

My overseer runs a Stainless/Synthetic Howa 1500 .223 with a 1:9" twist, and he loves it.
My Tikka CTR runs a 1:8" twist, and I find it a fantastic rifle for what I want.

Both rifles seem to shoot the Rexem pills(and the ADI 69 grainers as well) really well.

I do like the extra punch the 69gn/75gn pills bring to the .223.
And I do think the REXEM pills are a fantastic product.

Yeah ageee!! What is your load and powder recipe you use ! Benchmark 2 for the 68gn and AR2208 I found best for the 75gn REXEMS

Not the F-Bombs I've bought in the past 12 months; copper jackets he imports from the US.

Pretty sure he was making some frangible brass projectiles at one point, but they were light (52gn??).
