Amazon sells the smaller Frankford Arsenal delivered for $270. The video gives an idea of size - https://youtu.be/xxgQRX5IQME?si=IFRdnimqXTE_YX-4

Strainer caps make draining the water easy without losing pins or brass. https://www.amazon.com.au/Frankford-Ars ... 7YHFD?th=1

The larger model comes with its own type of strainer cap that allows you to shake out water and pins into a large container and retain the brass in the tumbler. The pins are then picked out of the container using a magnet. Pretty fast if you have a large plastic storage box and any sort of strong magnet. https://www.amazon.com.au/Frankford-Ars ... B08PP5V9SC

Just don't get fooled by people who don't own one of these.

Don't buy one with ball bearings, they will f**k your cases.
You need a tumbler with the SS pins, and you are set, but you probably know this.

I have had a Lyman Cyclone Wet Rotary Tumbler for many years and its the best thing since the proverbial 'sliced bread'.
Couple it with a Hornady Rotary Media Sifter and you will think your in brass heaven!

A lot of stuff is made in China and simply re badged. Often it's pretty difficult to work out where stuff is made. Manufacturers s

Leupold factory in China? I have my doubts, although they might source some parts from there? Who knows.

I've never owned a tumbler as I have never had to clean my brass, I try to keep it clean while I'm shooting. Shooting blackpowder though the brass is absolutely filthy. It still loads just fine but I decided last week to try tumbling them. So I visited a mate up the road who is a gemstone nut. He has a treadmill tilted up about 30-degrees, with conveyor belt rollers screwed across it so he can run more than a dozen tubs of rocks continuously. He tumbles his rocks for weeks, sometimes for months, with varying grades of grit to polish them. He said I can fill some tubs with brass and drop them over anytime. So we looked online to order some new rubber tubs and found cheap tumblers on Ebay, so I ordered one last week, I think for $80. I also ordered stainless pins. The tumbler came immediately, but as the media hasn't arrived I haven't bothering collecting it from the Post Office yet. I did consider ultrasonic but decided the tumbler was likely to be simpler and easier. As soon as the media arrives I have a large pile of brass to tumble so I'll see how well it works.

If you buy from Temu then Chinesium is assured.

But Leupold having a factory in China? It's actually true, all but their top-of-the line binos and spotting scopes are fully made in China.
Top of the line binos are Japanese made.

But the scopes aint Chinesium, even their cheapest VX Freedom is US made, and VX3 and up is also US made and as good as anything out there.
Unlike Vortex, only the most expensive premium tactical items are made in Japan or US, everything below affordable to the average person is Chinesium.

Just keep in mind that in the US a manufacturer can write just about anything on a product without requiring it to be factual.

The US is a much more litigious society than AUS, so I don't think they'd be crossing too many boundaries.

I think there are laws on that in regards to stating country of origin of parts or manufacture. Something might say, assembled in the USA with a mix of foreign and USA made parts or Made in China or Made in USA or whatever.

if the packaging is made in USA then they can claim it's USA made, it it says it's 100% USA made then yeah

whats the purpose of cleaning brass? I just wipe mine with a towel before I resize then wipe it again after. I do anneal and clean the pocket but never looked at these tumblers things.

do they make a difference to anything or just give you shiny brass?

Ta, would rather spend the funds on shooting more :)

Serious question for bling though, why not polish brass, when you resize you just spend 1 min on a polish wheel?

If I paid the over-inflated prices they now ask for everything shooting-related, I wouldn't have all my machines and would be doing all the tedious reloading chores manually. I hated that.

I have run a small chink tumbler for close to a decade and just upgraded to the bigger 5KG capacity model.

All a wet tumbler needs is the correct-sized pins and the MP103 burnishing compound from Aussie Saphire..

They now do a new type that looks like a Lyman copy rather than the perspex barrel one they did for many years.

You'll need to be a bit more specific about which particular evil empire you are referring to. There are a few to choose from.

One of the main reasons is to keep my dies from getting dirty and scratched on the inside , running more expensive die sets , just peice of mind ,and it only takes 1-2 hrs bingo clean ........works for me ... :)
