I know this will probably open the proverbial can of worms but I'm curious as to what brass, fired or unfired do you mob prefer. I always used to use Norma brass back a few years but there is a lot of "new" stuff about now. I'm told that Winchester is great as is Federal, but Federal doesn't last as long. I'd like a few opinions. For the record lets try and stick with 223 and 308.

I've found regular old Winchester to work consistently well for me.

I can't chalk that up to anything specific for you as I don't weight brass or neck turn or do any of the finer detail stuff to nail down the reason.

Just between shooting hand loads with Winchester, Federal and Remington brass, the Winchester has always given the best groups for me.

I use federal brass in my 308 and I'm onto around my 8th reloading with no failures yet. I've heard Winchester are good because of thicker construction so they last longer

I'm using Winchester also.

I know a few guys who shoot Remington because they say they get a little higher velocity out of it. Thicker walls I guess...

I've shot Remington and didn't find it improved over my Winchester, so I just stuck with what I had.

Remington wasn't any worse, but wasn't better either.

Nosler custom comp 22-250 & 308 brass I also have Lapua and Norma to try.
Hornady 22 Hornet fire formed for my 22KHornet.
Bertram for my 303/6mm

I have heard some people are having a few issues with Winchester brass but this might be a isolated case.

Lapua is a bit of a funny one at the moment it seems.

It's had this long standing rep for consistency, the last few topics I've seen on it though are all about people weighing their batches and finding them to be just as varied as Remington or Federal or Winchester or any other...

I'm also using Winchester and Federal.
See you on the firing line.

I started out shooting Federal Factory ammo and hence had a few hundred brass from it left over.

I haven't had any problems with premature neck splitting or head separation. Accuracy is good... All good...
