I had contacts for recycled #7 shot...actually, i could probably get it again, but that would require me to go back clay shooting again which i dont have time for.
I can try ring him again but he wouldnt sell it to me last i asked, as i said, unless i came out & shot with them again..

I do have a few 10kg tubs of recycled #9's laying around...but they are spoken for... :allegedly: ( :) )
I can ask the fellow if he still wants them for you if your interested--but they are #9's, not 7.5's...

I also had contact for cheap wads who i bought a garbage bag of wads (straight wall) & primers from--i can also try find his number.
Also had the number for a dealer who sold (is it) dectan (?) powder pretty cheap..apparently thats what all the Wini target stuff is loaded with-not sure if thats true though :unknown: .(wished id bought it as it seemed to burn much cleaner than adi.)

Im not sure where you're shootin BA...but i thought most clubs have their guys that get their reloading consumables cheap & keep it hush hush for the clicky doods-i assume you've asked the guys in the club, but if not its worth a go...

If you get your load-all--as marksman said, if you get into it long term its hours of loading.

Do you have a pool table...???
When i was a young lad your sons age, my ol man had one in the shed along with the lee press...his mates used to come over a couple of Sat nights for a night of 8-ball, a piss-up & a load-up leading into duck season, & take it in turns on the load-all...

I used to spread myself between the pool table, the lee press, & sneaking mouthfuls of the wives brandy & coke...

Anyway, i can see if i can find these numbers for you if you're interested...ill also ask if i can get the ammo cheaper for you...but thats not till next year now.

Sorry this is long... :)

Disclaimer.
All reloading and firing of reloaded ammunition is done at your own risk!

This is what i would use in a straight walled hull.

You can get the barrels ported.

I have heard of that. Is porting as effective as a brake?

There was a write up on shotgun porting for clays in’s recent magazine by a clay target specialist - he said in his opinion any improvements at all from porting were 100% plaebo...

Don't be sorry, I might take you up on some of those offers. #9 shot would probably be fine, at the club, you have to use 9s on the skeet courses.

I'll be asking around at the club, see what comes out of the woodwork. Having the young fella there is actually really good, the club have been super friendly and supportive towards him, he's already scored a couple of freebies from different people. It definitely seems to open more doors rather than just being another hairy bloke rocking up.
