RCBS chargemaster combo over-throwing in hot weather?

Post by The Brass » 07 Feb 2014, 1:19 pm

G'day,

I know a few of you blokes have the RCBS chargemaster combo unit here. During the hot weather do you find it drops heavy charges more often?

Normally it's great and hardly ever goes over, I did a batch the other weak on a hot day and it was overthrowing about 1 in every 3-4 charges.

Previously it's 1 in 50.

Scorching hot day though... Do you guys get the same?

I have the same problem with my hornady electric thrower its usually very accurate but in extreme hot weather it tends to throw over more often

Same for mine, RCBS chargemaster combo, drops 0.1 - 0.3 grain heavy when it's real hot.

Normal temp same as you... Only 1 in 50 loads or so are off.
