it is thicker so your loads may use less powder for the same pressure but l dont mind it and think it is well made

it is the only brass l will use for mine and my sons 17 ackley hornets :drinks:

I have it for my .30-30 and a few randoms here and there of .222 in my collection, got 3 or 4 out of .30-30 so far bit needed to trim after first reload, and the .222 cases are 5 or 6 reloads in I believe.

Lol i have 200ish prepped brass of it... just going to waste. Because

I started to have hard bolt closures... which even FLS didn't fix. Had a mate cheech the brass and couldn't see any reason. But got 5 reloads from the brass.

I have heard ok things about it In 243 it’s a dollar a shot already loaded. Prior to my last trip away I did not have time to assess my ammo surply of my own reloads so I just bought 200 rnds of loaded ammo

It is not the worst brass on the market, fine for hunting. I would use it ahead of most brass made in the US.

I’m using PPU brass for the 222. Seems like pretty good brass so far. I bought a couple hundred rounds of factory loaded stuff. Think it was $160 for the 200 rounds so not too bad.

PPU brass is as good as the best available out there. I have used many 9mm and 38 Special PPU cases in handguns. In rifles I use only PPU in my Lee Enfield 303's. Their cases are thicker, last longer than anything else I've used in the Enfields. Best feature for Enfields is the rim is thicker than any other case brand which tightens up head space. This is always a good thing for the sloppy chamber Enfield 303's.
Have also used their 223 cases in numerous rifles and they work as well and last as long as the ADI cases which I use predominately.

At $1 per case I think you'd nearly buy PPU .223 loaded rounds for that ?

Lapua brass is $1.35 a case. Then you do have some quality brass.

Come past my place and I will give you a once fired PPU case for 10c, fill it up with 20c worth of powder and top it off with a 14c projectile. You won't cry when you loose one in the paddock.

Occasionally I get excited in the field and forget to look for spent brass but usually I have this stupid habit/ obsession with picking up my empties. I don’t know why I think I have about 900 loaded 243 rounds ready to hunt so it won’t hurt to let a few lie down for a long rest in the paddock But next trip I’m taking my 303 for a run and I don’t have much of that brass so back to my carefull collection I spose

I have the same stupid habit and copped some grief from my shooting buddy when I was retracing my steps trying to recover two ADI cases that I had been given for free. Funny how I had only moved a few metres but could not find them in the grass.

I try and pick up my empties too however if I happen to lose a few I just put it down to collateral loss and part of doing business when hunting in the scrub. Not ideal though losing expensive brass, think I shall check out the PPU stuff when my existing supply starts to dwindle.
