A Source For Lead Slugs?

Post by Wm.Traynor » 09 Jan 2020, 4:42 pm

Thinking of using lead bullets in one of my 30 cals and thought of slugging the bore, before buying some ready made cast bullets from a local manufacturer.
You are supposed to slug the bore aren't you? Anyway, I looked up the sizes of lead sinkers and the smallest I could see was 11mm, which is way big. What do lead bullet shooters do in this case?

I went to BCF a couple of years ago and bought 1/2 a dozen packets of various size sinkers, should last a lifetime, Cheers.

You can get split shot and ball sinkers a hell of a lot smaller the that...11mm

No1Mk3 I must have been looking in the wrong place  BCF does seem to have a selection much greater than what I found and they aren't far away either :)
As for pulling apart a cartridge, I would have to buy a box and that's a bit exxy :(

Thanks for your replies
