Forster dies

Post by Ausmade » 03 Feb 2020, 9:15 am

G'day folks,
can someone please advise me what stampings appear on Forster full length sizing dies to differentiate between standard and bench rest models? I picked one up on Saturday in Sydney that was not in its original packaging and I have tried googling it but haven't been able to find anything. The markings on it are Forster 223 FLS - L.

Thanks in advance

There aren't any standard or benchrest models. The only difference is dies that neck size to standard or others that use a bushing to control the neck size. These usually have a the letters of NK on them.

Cheers for that, I ended up emailing Forster, which I should have done in the first place I suppose.

Not being a s**t marksman, but i cannot find standard wobble dies on their webpage. But i prefer brownells or brt website when looking for forster dies.

I see the word bench-rest has a TM next to it... ie it's their trademark

roflmao, nobody said they made a standard wobble die ziad,
they make there dies to a benchrest standard with superior manufacturing quality
standard wobble dies are made from rcbs ect.... :drinks: but forster dies are way better quality dies than rcbs dies

so I got this back from Forster today...

Thanks for contacting us about this, the marking would indicate that it is our Standard Bench Rest 223 Remington Full Length Sizing Die. The - "L" is simply a production run indicator, telling us the die itself is ~12 years old.

mystery solved!!!
