Hi all,

Tell me is this neck starting to split?

The horizontal line in the shiny bit there... It's only a fine line like a hair, just enough to catch your fingernail on.

I thought necks usually split up, not sidewards?

Thoughts?

It's 7mm-08 brass if that matters.

If you are not sure, do not use it again. It's not worth have a stoppage in a comp or in the bush to remove metal from the chamber & brass is cheap compared to medical bills for your face!
Any suspect brass I find goes in the recycling box & is worth $$, which goes back to buying more brass, etc.............
