Downunder, who you calling molester. Trumps freely admitted to digital molestation of females including at miss America. Has a few rape allegations and his general demeanour towards women is horrible, it probably fits more your stereotypical Taliban warlord. I am honestly surprised if anyone else behaved the sms way the #metoo ppl would be all over them... except he's got everyone scared.

Anyway ol Trmp had his day in the sun but the people of America said YOU ARE FIRED and related him with another guy who is two years his senior

It's quite possible the Russians will seek out other markets, so perhaps Australia will take a liking to steel cased Russian ammo.

Hi guys just working up some loads for my tikka 7 mm rem mag T3X 24 inc barrel.
Just wanted some feed back on my max load, and was wondering if it was a bit hot.
Jagemann brass / Berger 168 gr classic hunter projectile/reloader 25 powder @ 71 grains max load / federal primer 215.
Any feed back would be much appreciated.

Hows it go in the rifle?

Primers flattened into the cup? Ripple/crater around the strike? Hard to eject or deformation in the brass, particularly in the lower part?

If you're absent of pressure signs its a fine load in that rifle. And thats the key - they're all different.

Now to put this thread back on track.
Economic news emerging from the US suggests the prescience of this thread's title.
Due to an expectation of renewed US vigour in money printing there are strong expectations of wage increases that will also be fuelled by labour shortages.
This will inevitably lead to price increases compounding those due to the current shortages of product.
My advice in the past regarding consumables for our sport was "don't walk past a bargain", now it's "if you think you might ever need it and you can afford it then buy it".
I think the fear porn circulating over the last few years regarding inflation is about to become true in the way Hemmingway described bankruptcy, slowly at first and then all of a sudden.

Yup. Hyperinflation.

In essence, when a countries economic stimulus outstrips is capability to produce material goods and services. This creates an ever-increasing pool of capital competing for a dwindling supply of goods... sending the price up. And up. And up.

And before you know it you're 1920's Germany; kids playing with bundles of money because that's all its good for.

Well one good thing recently is the huge Remington plant in Arkansas is back up and running full speed.

I read an extensive article on it in American Rifleman(NRA), sounds like the new owner is doing good things.

Nobody can legally ship ammo since TNT bailed.
I don't buy much match ammo, but got a case of Eley Standard for $980 on Saturday. They only had 2050rds of Eley edge which I paid $20.50 per box for I think. Eley Team was $21.50.

I saw that but thought it was only between dealers?
NIOA said they had something in place to get ammo out to dealers, but my impression was that.it might've been "in house", like using their reps to deliver ammo.

Dealer to dealer or wholesaler is probably 95+% of the transfers.

Sticks for people like you blade, in country area with no dealer for hundreds of kms

I'm not that far out, but my dealer can't get accounts with most suppliers, and I refuse to spend money with the other local dealer, to the point of preferring a five-hour drive to Melbourne for ammo.

No blade. I have none of those cases but if for some reason they crop up cheap somewhere can I make 270 cases with one pass thru a 270 die? And then need to trim ? More than likely easier with 06 cases I imagine

Plenty of lube, and go slow if you're not confident. The first few 6.5x58mm from .30-06 I only did a mm or two, relubed, and kept pushing it down. I would expect .30-06 to be easiest, and most readily available. I have .270 dies but not a rifle. I bought the dies to make the 6.5x58mm in two stages. If you have something you can use to measure shoulder length you can just churn some out to fit that, then trim them to length afterwards. If you're bumping them back to fit a chamber you'll have to trim as you go so the case mouth doesn't bottom in the throat.

Thanks blade. I’ll probably head to rebels tomorrow and just grab New 270 cases , lee dies and Speer pills , I have powder and primers , so it’s not goin to be a hugely expensive excercise ....so I will have the 270 up and running for an Xmas trip away. This is a stack better than waiting for ppu ammo in March

Out of curiosity, I made a list of current .22LR ammo stock at a large dealer that lists their stock online. The total is better than I'd expected, but is only about twice what myself and a mate have on hand for our own use. The dealer only has seven types of ammo sufficient to buy a 5000rd case of though.

Has anybody seen aguila ammo outside of Brisbane yet? I want some for testing.

The dealer I collected ammo from last week doesn't expect to see any rimfire ammo before March, at best. By the time it arrives it'll very likely not even fill current back orders so might not even reach dealer shelves.

At my local today I was told maybe 12 month wait for Alliant. While there I noticed the normally well stocked projectile selection looked different.... there was a lot of space between the boxes. Never seen that there before

Firearms, ammunition and component sales BOOM when the Democrats are in power, consistent cries of Wolf from the GOP about imminent bans and restrictions has everyone running to the local gunshop. Covid 19 and factory shutdowns have only made the rush on supplies even worse. Record profits being made in the Firearms industry right now.

I tried to buy some 50 cal projectiles and brass today and none in stock with only limited supply sometime in 2022
