If you're looking at casting your own the world is your oyster. I'd still recommend going in the 180 to 230gn range as with low velocities you'll want a heavier (longer) projectile to help stabilise it given the fixed rifling twist rate.
I cast and powder coat for 38 special, and previously 45-70, but I've used Blackwidow projectiles before as well, and they are excellent! I need to work out what projectile weight to use with the 1-10" twist rate of the rifle. I understand the principle of a higher twist rate used to stabilise heavier/longer target rounds in full power loads, but i'm still getting my head around what happens when the velocity slows down, and what bullet weights might be needed.
