ADI AR2206h for 450 bushmaster

Would this fast burn powder work in 16” Ruger ranch
Adi lists only 2205/2207 but that’s in a 24” barrel

2206H is slower than either 2205 or 2207.
So you will get generally lowwer pressures and velocities compared to the 2 listed even with a heavy crimp and heavy bullet.
There is also the likelihood of unburnt powder.
For the short barrel it is likely that the faster powder will work better so try the 2205
One well placed shot is all it takes.

I would think the 2206H would be ok even though it is technically a slower powder. 2206H burns very well and is very good at igniting and fully burning it is the reason it can be used in greatly reduced loads and not cause detonation problems like other powders.

There's a reason why 2207 is one of the best powders for a 458 WIN MAG 06H would be way too slow for your Bushmaster go ahead and try it if you like that's what it's all about

Wouldn't recommend the 06H or 08 powders for the Bushy 450. Unburnt / fail to ignite / squib load territory. Loaded, tried, abandoned the idea.

Stick to the 05 / 07 powders.

I have no experience with your caliber but if that is the only powder you have available then it won't hurt to give it a try.
I would suggest that the starting load of 2206 be the equivalent weight of maximum loads in the ADI reloading guide. Increase your load if feasible until you get 5 to 10% compression and use a good crimp and with magnum primers. You shouldn't get any pressure signs but if you do then back off.
Unfortunately you will get a substantial muzzle flash and blast out of your 16" barrel.
I have tried similar loading strategies in my 444 Marlin and 9.3x74R with good and safe results.
Remember that you will be doing this at your own risk with no recourse to anybody in the event of a serious mishap.
