New to your forum but long time handloader

Post by jambuster » 06 Jun 2021, 11:42 am

Hello guys I recently found your forum and I am a long time handloader. I live in West Tennessee in the United States and enjoy forums from around the world on my favorite topic handloading and shooting. I loaded my first ammo on my grandfather's RCBS A2 in 1976 and have been going strong since.

G'Day from WA - Western Australia that is. Always good to welcome someone with a different perspective on our chosen pass-time. (I Googled that and it is correct but just doesn't look right). In any case, welcome to the forum.

Do you load for competition or just hunting?

I load for hunting and sport shooting. I have never shot in a match. However, I consider myself the world's foremost enemy of "beer cans" . Remember, the beer cans up here are 2/3 rds the size of those big Foster's cans you guys have and I pretty sure ours run a lot faster. HaHa

Up here we have three types of big game : coyotes, white tail deer, and wild hogs. Although, most of my load development it to chase one of the above I punch a lot of paper. I have a son , 3 son-in-law's , and two grandson's that hunt. I load for all of them plus my business partner. Everybody, but my son uses a 7mm-08 as their primary big game gun. My son and one of the son-in-law's have several different guns.

I am loading the following:

22H
223
243
25-06
7mm-08
7mm BR
3006
30-30
308
444Marlin
44 Mag
357 Mag
6.5 Creedmoor
6.5 Grendel
