Alliant Unique - .357 LSWC load

Post by Macross » 15 Jul 2021, 3:47 pm

Just wondering if anyone has had good results with Unique in .357mag. Will be shooting out of S&W 686 SSR - 4" barrel.

I am going to test with some new Semi-Wad Cutter Spartan Projectiles and have found a few different loads online from 4.5gr up to 8gr.

I have only used W-296 and Trailboss for my 357 (686 4inch barrel). A few fellow shooters use Unique, and they seem happy with it. I currently run a 148grn dewc with 3.8 grains of Trailboss and it is very accurate and consistent load. I have a couple of boxes of Spartan projectiles that I use for practice.

G'day Macross,
Unique is great stuff for 357, good as AP70 or 700X. I will be going back to it if I can find it now that ADI has shat upon Aussie handgunners, Cheers.
