Lubricating primer pocket before swaging

Hi all , just got given a heap of 308win once fired brass all Hornady , the problem is the primer pocket are all crimped ,thought ok i got this get to use my swaging die out ,jumped on youtube for look see ,looked simple .till i saw a bloke lubricating the primer pocket holes , my question is will this help because the brass will need a another cleaning. It will cleaning number 3 very shinny brass...

New to me.

Edit: IMO half the brass prep people do simply isn't necessary.

De prime
Clean if required
Anneal if required
Size
Trim if required
Debur if required

The rest is bling

Easiest way is to use a primer pocket uniforming tool. Gets rid of the crimp and uniforms the primer pocket in one operation.
No lube required.
In the distant past I have used a RCBS primer pocket swage tool and never used lube. I also have used a Hornady primer pocket chamfering tool.
I suppose the type of crimp and just how difficult it was to press out the spent primers will also play a role in the methods one would use removing the crimp.

I swage a lot of brass, right now doing thousands with my Lee APP. Never used lube to do so and never heard of anyone doing that. I guess you could but I don't see the big benefit. When you do something there has to be some benefit to doing so.
