Last lot of powder that I bought was Wano. Very good German stuff
Mind you, I still have a bit of a stash of Goex as well 8-)

As long as I can get something. Pyrodex don't work too good in rock locks.
What is it the guy in Helidon has been bringing in?
Mind you if no one will ship the stuff it really doesn't matter.

Goex hasn’t been available here for a long time so in itself it’ll make no difference.
However, it’ll increase international demand for Wano and Swiss which is what we’ve been burning for years and that’ll push the price up even further. The last Wano I bought was $130/kg which for a product with three ingredients is a bit steep I reckon.
Hopefully the Goex plant will be snapped up and kept going. The US military uses nearly a million pounds of black powder per year and it all came from Goex.
There's still a few of Wile. E Coyote's ideas that I haven't tried yet.

As Noisy said, probably the biggest effect will be the price increases due to reduced supply and competition.

I haven't been able to get my hands on BP for years now since it's only been available through clubs.

Not that I know anything about the manufacturing process of BP but the 3 primary ingredients Noisy is thinking about need another to help properly blend them for good performance...

We may suffer more than just price increases, as the smallest kid on the block we may lose quantity as well, perhaps all BP cut off. If other manufacturers move to supply US needs for powder we will be tossed aside, Anyone fancy moving to Louisiana there could be a business opportunity going.

Perhaps "need" wasn't the right word

I have seen outstanding results (on YouTube of course)
using nothing but dry ingredients with loads of milling time, however it wasn't granulated... just a super fine power.
Apparently the CIA method of boiling the nitrate into solution and freezing in iso gives even better results... but I guess we'll never find out for ourselves.
