Hi all,
I am just starting out on the reloading side of things and have never done any reloading before ( I know I have a lot to learn ).The caliber to be reloaded is .243 Winchester, that is the only caliber I will be reloading at the moment and will always keep that caliber even if I upgrade in the future. I have just been given a super simplex 6 die reloading turret press and for an old girl it is in excellent condition, no play or excess movement in any of the moving parts. I will be reloading about 100-150 rounds every 3-4 months . My question is, the press uses the smaller 5/8 dies and therefore you can’t do any full length resizing. Will this be an issue for me as I don’t shoot a lot and want consistency with my rounds. I just don’t want to buy the dies and then have to get another press and the dies won’t fit ( and have to purchase dies again ). I have seen that they sell a vice type resizing die and was wondering if anyone has used one of these and if it will be ok for me if I need to full length resize as I’m not doing a lot of rounds and don’t mind if it takes a while. Any input on this will be greatly appreciated. Cheers
