RCBS Chargemaster

Post by troyboy » 27 Apr 2014, 3:54 am

Hello

Who does the best deals on RCBS Chargemaster? I looked at a few aussie sites and they want $650 where as Midway USA is selling them for $370 AUD without freight so surely you can get them cheaper then $650 somewhere in AUS

Does anyone know how the Hornady Lock and load auto charge goes?

cheers

I got mine from Magnum sports in Roseville, Sydney.

I think it was $550 + $25 shipping or something like that?

Don't know what to tell you about the site. I called and asker for best price and that's what I got.

Or maybe prices have gone up? I don't know sorry.

Call them and find out if you want one I guess.

Has anyone bought the 110v version and just use and adapter socket to fit the aus power piont or do I have to get the 220v-230v version?

Do those adapters cut the power going into the unit back to 110v ?

You'd need to know what the specific adapter is.

If it's specifically 110v input only then you'd need a transformer and all that crap.

If it's 100v-240v input (which many are) you would just need a plug adapter for a couple of bucks.

Contact seller and ask?

Brownell's have the 220v version of the chargemaster for US$350. They're usually pretty good with their postage pricing too.

I wish more places in the states were happy to work with you on shipping.

Too many only offer one priority service which costs a fortune. You could get it 2 days later for 1/3 the price but they can't be bothered with that

That gun shop at Margate still have them advertised at $495-00 online if that helps at all?

I ended up get one off eBay for $370 including shipping from the US. It's a 110v version and I have email RCBS to see if they are multi volt so I can just get a adapter but have heard nothing back as yet. For anyone that already has one does it say in the manual anything about how many watts it needs to run?

I think you'll need to run it through a step-down transformer. All this talking about chargemasters has me wanting one badly, good thing my birthday's coming up :D

Anyone else looking for one, would be wise to get the 220v 50hz version from Brownells. Anyone who has a brownells account will also have a 10% discount waiting for them in the spam folders of their email address used for the Brownells account.

I got mine today, sweet :)

hey deadmeat - thanks for the tip about the 10% discount but I didn't get one, maybe it's on it's way!

I have been asking Brownells to quote me on shipping a few items but they seem to take forever. have you had good experience with their shipping charges? I see Baldrick posted above that they are reasonable.

Got my 10% voucher today so I'll be ordering tonight :).

Chilliman try emailing them directly I think it's sales@brownells.com or orderdesk@brownells.com. Last time I tried to get an answer through their online form it took over a week.

They quoted me $117 US to ship a chargemaster and RCBS chronograph so should be about half just for the chargemaster

I dispensed ten charges yesterday just to test it out. 42gr of 2206H took about 20 seconds to meter out and each one was exactly 42gr when tested on my beam scale.

Very happy with it.

Now I've just gotta finish prepping cases so I can use it properly

I'm sure you can Google for the link but there was a good review of this and a few other combo dispensers and the RCBS came out on top for consistency.

Constantly reported as a good unit.
