55 Grain Super Roos

I usually use V-max, Nosler, etc. Have never used the Super Roo. Are they any good. A general yay or nay would be fine. Considering proj are generally in short supply, I will use whatever is at hand.......to a degree
Cheers

I would agree with that, the SuperRoo is better directed at beasts larger than rabbits and foxes, but it still drops them.

Great bullet. They're loaded in the Buffalo River and ADI factory ammo. Almost makes handloading hunting ammo for the 223 redundant.

good to hear they work on the larger end of the 223 spectrum in particular. I got these also as a cheapo bulk bullet but turns out they may be a good all rounder.

I bought thousands of them for about 12-cents apiece, I can load them significantly cheaper than I can buy the ammo.

I was pleasantly supprised that i found a few boxes in the projectile box i bought when they were $129 per 1000 i almost cringe a little when i see the prices the sell for today.

Yay,
Agree with all previous posts.
Bulk packaged Gamekings (marketing). I think it actually states Gameking on the packaging?
Good all purpose 22/250Rem projectile and/or less explosive 55gn option for your .224 of choice.

Yes they are sellling for 235 or moree. I got mine when they were at the 180 mark. This is all Russias fault btw like all inflation just ask Channel 7. 18 months before he invaded Ukraine he must have got controlling share in Seirra, or maybe bombed their factories :D

Still working on loads for my Tikka T3X but got some promising results last weekend

BM8208 24g
5 Shot Group
Av Vel 3003
Spread 47
Std Dev 19.6
Group 1/2" @100M

AR2208 26g
5 Shot Group
Av Vel 3076
Spread 25
Std Dev 9.1
Group 3/4" @100M

Still need to do more testing with charge weight (previous loads at 1/2 grain increments) and seating depth
If I can get consistent 1/2" groups or better over 3000 fps using these pills then I will be happy

Thanks for that, I'll load up a few with a basic load of whatever powder I have most of and see what happens.

I haven't tried the Sierras but I got 900 Hornady 55gn Roo Max for $85 a while back, they look pretty close.
Best .223 round I've tried.
